Sun Valley Community Church Men’s Meetings
If we look at society today we can see that there is clearly a shortage of godly men! In our fellowship we seek to have God make Bible believing, born again men, who put Him first, and stay true to worship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
At Sun Valley Community Church we seek to make godly men. We want to see men transformed by the gospel and born again by the Spirit of God. It is all good if we know one or two doctrines in the scriptures and have an immense amount of head knowledge, but we need to see men and want to see men apply the word of God in their lives so that they may be the correct expression of what a proper man is to be in secular society. Men are to be those who are willing to learn from the scriptures, submit to one another in the fear of God, and see Jesus Christ glorified.
Paul says to Timothy, “Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace
with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart” [2 Tim 2:22]
Certain men also have various roles within the body like that of Eldership and Deaconship which is necessary for the equipping of the body and the care of the body [Eph 4:11-14]. Obviously, the Pastor-Teacher has a pivotal role to play in the body and forms a part of the eldership. It is only when we obey the word of God and submit to it that we will see true men of God transformed by the Holy Spirit and the scriptures.
We meet every second Saturday morning at 8:30 AM and all men are welcome. We sharpen one another and encourage one another to be men of God and not puppets of the world!
